HOD Comp. Message Greetings I feel immense pleasure to welcome you all at Godavari Foundation’s Godavari College of Engineering Jalgaon. The department since its establishment in 1999 has grown up steadily keeping pace with the development in IT industry. The infrastructure of the department is excellent and healthy for research work. Special attention is given to students for their logical and personal development. We believe in educating the students instead of simply teaching them. Faculty members are self-motivated and are following unique process in teaching and overall development of students. About Department The department was established in 1999 with intake capacity of 60, and eventually increased to 120 at present. The department is well equipped with laboratories having computer system of latest configuration and is connected to high end server (for internet and data). The department has tie-up with Microsoft for academic software’s. The department is aiming towards the employability of the students, so that after graduation they need not need any further training for job placement. Parallel to the curriculum of the university, the department runs additional softwares/hardware courses to cope up with need of the industry. On regular basis the department organised seminar, workshop, conferences for faculty and students, so as to get updated with latest trained and scenario of industry. The student regularly visit the industry and they came to know about the practises adapted by the industry. Eminent speakers are visited for guest lectures both for faculty and students. More emphasis is given on application oriented concern. A separate departmental library, in addition to central library, having more than 500 titles and 600 volumes serves the immediate need of the students during their practical sessions. Well qualified, experienced and self motivated faculty are the backbone of the department. The alumni of the department also extended their help by guiding their juniors in many ways. Departmental library Department of Computer Engineering has a separate Departmental Library having more than 485 Titles and 614 Volumes. It has good collection of Academic and general information books which are helpful for research work. Internet center The department also has a separate Internet center of 40 PIV computers, where students work on their projects and can also avail the Internet facility.
