About Department
Information Technology course starts from academic session 2000-2001 with an Intake of 30 students.
Information Technology means blend of computers and communication technology. This has changed the appearance of the world with its various upcoming technologies in assorted fields of engineering and education. The career scenario for the younger generation in information technology are extended over a ample domain, which comprise service industries such as banking, insurance, communication etc. as students are aware of recent advancements in the field of computers as well as communications.
Other popular areas that covers scope for IT and have grown in the recent years are medicine, E-Governance, entertainment and multimedia, scientific research, business intelligence solutions and knowledge discovery in databases.
